Guitar Lessons

Former Student at The Guitar Institute of Technology (not the Musician’s Institute) of Hollywood California.

Private Individualized Lessons

$20 – 1/2 hour, $27.50 – 45 minutes, $35 – 1 hour

Kid Gym

Instructor: Tanya Ingram
Annual Registration: $35 per child (no more than $75 per family)

Tuition is based on 4-week session

Zumba Dance

Insturctor: April Sargent, Certified Zumba Instructor

Classes are every Monday at 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. 

All classes are $6.00 per person, per class.

Karate

Instructor: Wanda McElrath-Frazier

28+ years experience and has taught at J. Craig Smith Community Center for more than 22 years.

Classes: Monday and Wednesday, Times: 5:15p, 6:00p, 7:00p

Registration Fee: $8

Monthly: $30

Ballroom Dancing

Instructor: Jimmy Johnson

All ages, couples and singles welcome

Tennis

No membership fee

No admission cost

To race you must be an ABA license member

Cal Ripken Baseball

Age Cut off Date is April 30.

NO Concession or Field Duties.

All Star Tournament play in all divisions.

Regular season games played at Comer Sports Complex.

Tournaments played in surrounding towns (Sylacauga, Alex City, Childersburg, Talladega, Ashville and Lineville).

Cal Ripken Advisory Board consist of members with college and professional baseball experience.

  • T-Ball 4 year old
  • Tee Ball Division ( ages 5-6 ) hit off tee ( no coach pitch ). All Stars allowed.
  • Machine Pitch ( age 7-8 ) All Stars allowed.
  • Minor League ( age 9-10 ) 46’ pitching mound, 60’ bases. All Stars allowed.
  • Major League ( age 11-12 ) 50’ pitching mound, 70’ bases. Teaches players live baseball ( runners to play off base ).
